Lab3 Marketing Intern
The creative science of marketing-Day 1
This blog is coming to you from Lab 3 Marketing’s new summer intern, Sarah Gentilucci! As a new intern I was nervous for my first day not knowing what to expect this however, only lasted for all of five minutes! These three ladies, Loran, Corina, and Lisa made me feel comfortable and right at home already cracking jokes and making me laugh! I can honestly say I am already obsessed with this internship and I don’t think I am ever going to have a bad day! They kept my whole day interesting!
Lisa was the first I met and has already told me that she is going to be calling me by my last name, Gentilucci! She says it in the best Italian accent even adding in the hand gestures too! I can already tell that she makes and keeps great personal relationships with all of her clients and business colleagues. Loran, who is my mentor for the summer is totally awesome and made me feel very comfortable and told me “It’s okay to ask questions, I sometimes have to ask myself questions too!” That made me feel a whole lot better because there are so many different aspects of marketing it would be impossible to remember how to do something after only hearing it once! She’s patient and explains new things well. When she was out working the field she was helpful and responded quickly to my questions that I had! Loran has also already given me my first tip as what to expect in the marketing industry but I’m going to be selfish and keep it to myself! Corina is the last I met, and just as fun as Loran and Lisa. She’s 9 months pregnant and still working her butt off not slowing down for once second! She’s definitely a hard worker but also takes time to ask question and find out more about people. We had a good conversation about living on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin island, where I grew up.
The working atmosphere here at our table of four in the Centre Club was with out a doubt energized! The way these ladies work together is great; they can all be talking about different things at once without getting lost or confused. They work off of each other so well! Today was their first working Monday under their new company together and all wore their Lab 3 Marketing t-shits and posed for a picture, they were so giddy, Corina even exclaimed “I didn’t even have to fake a smile for that”! You could just feed off of their great mood and energy and I thought it was only because they were excited about their newly merged company but they all kept telling me, “Welcome to the crazy three, this is what its like everyday!” I absolutely cannot wait to work and learn more from these three wonderful ladies!
Today I set up future post for peoples Facebook pages, did some pinning on Pinterest, researched a website for Loran, and started two different blogs for them! Tomorrow, I get to go on a pitch with Loran which is letting me know that everyday I work will be something different and new! I’m so pumped and obsessed I cannot wait for the rest of the summer!
