A Day In The Life In The Lab~ Day 2

One thing pops into my head when I think about my second day as an intern at Lab3 Marketing and that’s, whoa.  Today was a first for me and I was actually, in a way, completely mind blown.  Loran spent the morning getting the final touches together for a pitch later in the day that I was going to tag along to.  Loran explained to me that this is a potential client that doesn’t know much about online marketing and that it’s important to make sure to educate the client about how online marketing really helps a business grow! Corina was also coming to the meeting and met us at Loran’s home office before we all drove over to the business together. During the ride, besides the side chat that we were having about what restaurant I should go and try their food at and other fun places around Tampa (never a dull moment with these ladies) Loran and Corina went over the marketing plan together discussing different aspects of it that were key to what the company was looking for.  I sat in the back following along with each page they went through taking my own notes and asking questions when I didn’t understand something or wanted to know why it’s something you include in this type of marketing plan.  My bosses, in one word, pardon my vocabulary ahead of time, are bad***.  I never feel uncomfortable about asking a question, if anything they encourage me to ask questions and are eager to teach me new things.  Why do my bosses totally rock you ask?  The way they work together it’s just so…epic.

Loran and Corina vibe the right way when in a sales pitch together. Loran is strong and a go getter and when she talks you can tell how passionate she is about her work and the enthusiasm she has while pitching her ideas makes you just want to throw your notes aside and be like okay, deal, I’m with you.  While Corina, speaks in such a nurturing way you just feel so comfortable around her and trust everything she has to say; if she told you that jumping off a cliff was a good idea, you probably would trust her and go ahead and jump off that cliff.  Together they answered all of the client’s questions perfectly and with clarity.

As I was sitting at the table opposite both Loran and Corina, listening the entire time I was just completely taken back and in awe.  I had no idea what to expect when going into this sales pitch and I can honestly say that I walked out feeling like I had just taking an entire semester course.  When we left the sales pitch and got back into the car Loran and Corina both asked me what I thought, before I could respond I felt like I was just sitting there with this look on my face read mind blown.  I think I talked both their ears off the entire way back to Loran’s home office about how the two of them worked so well together and how each has their own personality that you just can’t forget.  I asked more questions about different things I heard during the pitch and had remembered from taking classes had never fully understood until I saw it in action.  Just whoa, whoa is the only thing else I can say about today.
