A Day in the Life in the Lab – Day 1

Arianna & GusHi there! My name is Arianna and I am the newest intern to join the Lab3 team. A few months back Loran came to one of the senior marketing class at the University of Tampa and gave a really great lecture about real world marketing, and some of the best ways to become successful within the marketing realm. Loran was very knowledgeable and spoke with great confidence… which proved to be quite intimidating when it came to asking about any available interning positions.

Flash forward a few weeks, I finally got up the courage to apply. I heard back quickly and got a chance to do an interview over the phone with Loran and Lisa. As soon as they brought up their love of hockey and their office pup, Gus, I knew I would be able to fit in just fine! I was ecstatic a few days later when I got the email saying I got the position.

I am now entering into my second week working here at The Lab and I am having a great time! Starting with my first day, it was very clear that they mean business here at Lab3 and they like to get things done with the utmost efficiency… but they still know how to have a good time while they’re doing it. I think the thing I am looking forward to most about this internship is the fact that Lab3 clearly cares a lot about the development of their interns. Many internship positions tend to take a “hands off” approach, while the intern is thrust into the whirling world of marketing and hope they find their feet, or they are buried underneath piles of busy work. Luckily this isn’t one of those places!

In the short time I have been here, I have already gotten a chance to work with content creation, graphic designing, and getting familiar with the brand personalities of each client. I’m extremely grateful to be part of the Lab3 Marketing crew, and I can’t wait to see what challenges I get to concur next! Keep an eye out to see what comes next!
