Hi, I am Megan Macaluso the new Lab3 Marketing intern! I started here at Lab3 about four weeks ago (September 9th) to be exact. My first day here I was very nervous because I did not know what to expect. I had met Lisa through my other employer who is actually a client of Lab3 Marketing. My first impression of her was that she definitely knows what she is doing and she is very nice. I then met Loran and Corina who were both welcoming and told me not to panic that its ok if I don’t know everything! Which was good because I was starting to panic and I had only been in the office for about half an hour.
After I got my nerves under control I was quickly put to work. I learned a lot that first day and it hasn’t stopped since. Each day I come into the office and I am learning something different. I have learned how to research better, understand the role of social media more and how each type of marketing can help clients. Some thing really interesting that I learned within my first few days here was how to properly find pictures online. I usually would just type the image I needed into Google and use whatever picture I felt worked best. WRONG! Loran taught me how to find the right pictures for commercial use. It is something I use everyday in school now.
I continue to learn new things everyday and look forward to coming into work. I am grateful that Lisa, Loran and Corina took me on as an intern. I know I will learn a lot and what I learn here will help me in the real world. Make sure to stay tuned for my next blog post!
