G is for Guerilla Marketing

GorillaEver walk by an ad that made you look twice? Ever think about that same ad a few days later? Well my friends, you have just been subjected to guerilla marketing, and no, there will not be any cliché gorilla jokes (I’m pretty sure there won’t be, but I haven’t quite finished writing this).

Guerilla marketing is perfect for getting your company out in front of your potential customers without having to spend a fortune. Using this kind of low-cost, eccentric marketing strategy allows you to think outside of the box, have a TON of fun with designs, all while yielding maximum results. When designing your campaign, be original, be crafty, and really go for the shock factor. You want to make sure that what you create grabs the attention of your potential customers and makes them remember your brand. Here are just a few ways in which you can use guerilla marketing to attract new customers.

1. Vehicle Wraps: Customized vehicle wraps are a great way to increase company awareness. There are no limitations on where your advertising can go and how many people will see it. This is also a good way to bring the ad to the customer.

2. Business Cards: Now I know what you’re probably thinking: “What’s fun and creative about a business card?” The answer…EVERYTHING! Business cards are a perfect way for you to think outside of the box and really get creative with your design. Leave the boring rectangle behind and go for shapes. No one said you had to have a rectangular business card. You can also dress your business card with fun colors, backgrounds, textures, and for the really adventurous; pop-ups.

3. Freebies: Who doesn’t love free stuff? If you don’t, you may need to get checked out. Simply putting your logo or company name on things like pens, magnets, stuffed gorillas (I couldn’t hold out anymore, I had to stick one crack about gorillas), you name it, is a great way to get your company noticed. Think about it, how many times have you “accidentally” stolen a pen? If you answered never, again you may need to get checked out. Pens are constantly switching hands and each time someone uses one of your labeled pens will remind them of your company.

If your’re looking for some good examples of guerilla marketing we recommend checking these out. Make sure you contact your account chemist at Lab3 Marketing as well for your guerilla marketing campaign. Trust us, we’re great at being creative!

Q: What do gorillas do when they go mad?
A: Go bananas!
(Last gorilla joke I promise!)
